These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Viltrum VPN app, website, account services, subscriptions, and related software and support services (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are provided by 19techlab Ltd ("Viltrum," "we," "us," or "our"), registered at 32-38 Leman St, London E1 8EW, United Kingdom.
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, downloading the app, purchasing or using a subscription, starting a free trial, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to the Viltrum Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance and Eligibility
You may use the Services only if you can form a binding agreement with us or, if you are under 18, only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
Parents and guardians are responsible for use of the Services by minors under their supervision, including compliance with these Terms and any charges, subscriptions, or activity under the relevant account.
2. The Services
Viltrum is a virtual private network service currently available for iOS and macOS. The Services are designed to encrypt internet traffic between your device and Viltrum's VPN servers and to help protect privacy and security when using the internet.
Viltrum is VPN-only at launch and does not currently include ad blocking, malware blocking, dedicated IP, Smart DNS, password management, identity monitoring, router software, or browser extensions.
Free trial users may receive up to 10 GB per month, subject to availability and the in-app limits shown to the user.
Pro users may use Viltrum on up to five devices per account, subject to technical and platform limitations.
The Services are provided on a best-effort basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, specific speeds, access to particular websites, compatibility with every network, or availability of every server location at all times.
Certain networks, websites, platforms, countries, or service providers may block or restrict VPN traffic. Viltrum is not responsible for third-party blocking, throttling, filtering, legal restrictions, or service incompatibilities.
3. Privacy and No-Logs Policy
Your use of the Services is also governed by the Viltrum Privacy Policy. Viltrum maintains a no-logs policy for VPN activity. We do not store browsing history, traffic contents, DNS queries, source IP logs, assigned VPN IP logs, connection timestamps, server-side session duration, or server-side bandwidth logs.
The no-logs policy is a privacy commitment, not permission to use the Services unlawfully or abusively. We may act on account-level, payment-level, support, legal, or abuse information where permitted by these Terms and applicable law, even though we do not keep VPN activity logs.
4. Accounts and Security
To use some or all of the Services, you may need to create an account with a valid email address and password. You agree to provide accurate information, keep it current, keep your password confidential, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You are responsible for activity under your account, except to the extent caused by Viltrum's breach of these Terms or applicable law. You may not sell, rent, share commercially, transfer, or sublicense your account or subscription without our written permission.
5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Free Trial
Viltrum may offer weekly, monthly, and yearly subscriptions, as well as a free trial with a monthly data allowance. Subscription options, prices, renewal terms, and features are shown at the time of purchase and may vary by country, platform, promotion, or app-store rules.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date through the method required by the purchase channel. If you purchased directly from Viltrum, cancellation may be available through your Viltrum account or by contacting support. If you purchased through the Apple App Store, you must cancel through your Apple account subscription settings unless Apple provides another process.
You authorize us, Stripe, Apple, or the relevant payment processor or app store to charge applicable subscription fees, taxes, and renewal amounts using your selected payment method. If payment fails, we may suspend or cancel access to paid features.
We may change subscription prices or available plans from time to time. Price changes will not affect the current paid subscription period, but may apply to future renewals where permitted by law and platform rules. We will provide notice where required.
6. Refund Policy
For subscriptions purchased directly from Viltrum, you may request a refund within 30 days after your initial purchase. This money-back guarantee applies to the first paid purchase for the relevant account and does not automatically restart because you upgrade, change plans, create another account, or repurchase after receiving a refund.
To request a direct-purchase refund, contact support@viltrum.ai from the email address associated with your account and include enough information for us to identify the purchase. Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method where supported by the payment processor.
For purchases made through the Apple App Store, Apple controls the refund process. You must request App Store refunds through Apple, and any refund is subject to Apple's rules and discretion. Where we are technically and contractually able to assist with a valid refund request, we will do so in good faith.
We may deny refunds where permitted by law if we reasonably believe there has been fraud, abuse, violation of these Terms, violation of sanctions or export rules, or repeated refund misuse. Your statutory consumer rights are not limited by this refund policy.
7. Acceptable Use
You are responsible for using the Services lawfully. You agree not to use, encourage, or enable others to use the Services to:
- violate any law, regulation, court order, sanctions rule, export control rule, or third-party right;
- commit or facilitate fraud, identity theft, financial crime, phishing, scams, extortion, threats, harassment, stalking, or abuse;
- send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, malware, viruses, or harmful code;
- attack, disrupt, probe, scan, overload, scrape, crawl, or gain unauthorized access to networks, systems, accounts, or devices;
- conduct denial-of-service attacks, credential stuffing, bot activity, or other activity that harms the Services or third parties;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
- create, access, transmit, distribute, or facilitate child sexual abuse material, exploitation of minors, or unlawful sexual content;
- sell, resell, sublicense, rent, commercially share, or otherwise exploit the Services without our written permission;
- reverse engineer, decompile, modify, tamper with, or attempt to derive source code from the app except where applicable law expressly permits; or
- interfere with Viltrum's operation, security, reputation, infrastructure, or other users' ability to use the Services.
Abuse reports
Because Viltrum does not keep VPN activity logs, we may not be able to identify every abusive use of the Services. However, we may investigate and act on support reports, legal notices, payment information, account information, technical abuse patterns that do not require VPN activity logs, or other information lawfully available to us.

8. Countries, Sanctions, and Legal Restrictions
Viltrum is offered worldwide except in Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and any location where providing or using the Services would be unlawful or prohibited by sanctions, export controls, app-store rules, payment rules, or other legal restrictions.
You represent that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, organized under the laws of, or acting on behalf of a person or entity in a prohibited country or territory; that you are not subject to sanctions or other trade restrictions; and that you will not use the Services in violation of applicable sanctions, export controls, or local laws. We may suspend or terminate access where required or where we reasonably believe these restrictions apply.
9. License and Intellectual Property
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Viltrum grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to download, install, and use the app for your own lawful use. We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Services, software, names, logos, designs, content, and related intellectual property.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, host, sublicense, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit the Services except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
10. Third-Party Services and Platforms
The Services may depend on or interact with third-party services, including Apple, Stripe, hosting providers, internet service providers, mobile networks, and websites or services you access through the VPN. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, rules, privacy practices, availability, security, or decisions.
If you download the app through Apple or make an in-app purchase, Apple's terms, policies, and app-store rules also apply. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Viltrum, except as required by applicable App Store terms or law.
11. Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, server locations, plans, free trials, or parts of the Services at any time. Where a change materially affects paid Services, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice where required by law.
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Services, with or without notice where permitted by law, if we reasonably believe that you violated these Terms, payment failed, continued service would create legal or security risk, we are required to do so by law or platform rules, or your use harms Viltrum, other users, or third parties.
You may stop using the Services at any time. Cancellation of auto-renewal stops future renewals but does not by itself create a refund right except as stated in these Terms or required by law.
12. Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, conditions, and representations, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, speed, compatibility, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.
We do not guarantee that the Services will prevent all tracking, attacks, surveillance, data collection, malware, phishing, or other online risks. You remain responsible for your own devices, accounts, passwords, software updates, security settings, and lawful internet use.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
13. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Subject to the previous paragraph and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Viltrum and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings; service interruption; third-party conduct; or inability to use the Services.
Subject to the exclusions and limitations above, Viltrum's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Viltrum for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability, or (b) GBP 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you.
14. Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Viltrum and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and licensors from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, your violation of law, your violation of third-party rights, or use of the Services by someone using your account credentials.
15. Governing Law and Courts
Except for the US arbitration provision below, these Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to them or the Services are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the US arbitration provision below and any mandatory consumer-law rights, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
16. US Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
If you are a resident of the United States, this section applies to you to the fullest extent permitted by law. You and Viltrum agree to resolve disputes through final and binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except for claims that may be brought in small claims court, claims seeking only injunctive relief for intellectual-property misuse, or claims that applicable law says cannot be arbitrated.
Before starting arbitration, the party raising a dispute must send a written notice describing the dispute and requested relief. You must send notices to support@viltrum.ai from the email address associated with your account. The parties will try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for 60 days after notice is received.
If the dispute is not resolved informally, either party may start arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable Consumer Arbitration Rules or other applicable AAA rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this arbitration agreement. The arbitrator has authority to decide issues of arbitrability, except that a court may decide issues relating to the class action waiver below where required by law.
You and Viltrum agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff, class member, or representative in any class, collective, consolidated, private attorney general, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims of multiple users or preside over any class or representative proceeding unless both parties agree in writing.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to support@viltrum.ai within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Your opt-out notice must include your name, account email address, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out of arbitration does not opt you out of any other part of these Terms.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting the updated Terms, updating the date above, sending an email, or displaying an in-app notice. Continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Electronic Communications
You consent to receive notices, disclosures, receipts, policy updates, and other communications electronically, including by email, through the app, or by posting on our website. You are responsible for keeping your account email address current.
19. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any purchase terms shown at checkout, form the agreement between you and Viltrum regarding the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where possible. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written permission. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or by operation of law. We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
